One day, Pelty decided to leave the cave, when he wasn’t supposed to, and when his two step-brothers chased after him, they got lost and ultimately fell down a cliff. Pelty did what he could to find them, but later found them dead; he had done his best to put his past behind him, but one day, upon remembering what happened, he had become stricken with grief and was driven into a state of insanity. Now, locked away for months, he’s known only as prisoner #10952.

Little is known about Abandon; some have speculated that he’s a voodoo doll brought to life, while others have said that he’s a doomed spirit who is trapped between this world and the next. Legend has it that when his zipped up eye is opened, a portal is revealed that devours the souls of all in the immediate vicinity, though of course, nobody alive knows for certain, and the dead tend to keep their secrets to themselves. It is known that he seems to have a relationship of some sorts with Nurse Deadly, if such demons can feel emotion, though the two of them seem to enjoy one another’s company. He has been known to help her with her “operations”, though his time spent with Nurse Deadly seems to be changing him.

Abigail has the DNA of more than 25 different animal species including the king cobra, opossum, and deer though she mostly retains the appearance of a wolf. She was never a big talker and she never had very many friends so nobody knows why she always has such a big grin on her face. She does not enjoy giving her prey quick and painless deaths, instead she usually tortures them often using a sword or whip.

Annalise wasn’t always as she is now. She was the result of a voluntary experiment, at the hands of the same group that created G.E.O. They had injected genes from a black widow into her, resulting in her taking the form that she now has. Pointed spider legs, horrible arms with jagged fingers, a big noticeable abdomen and other such features that made her see just how cruel her experimenters were. She used to be a normal researcher, decided to take a big step into science to further her already advanced I.Q. Thanks went fine for her for the first few weeks, but somewhere along the line, things began to get out of hand. Ever since she was turned into a hybrid of ghastly proportions, Annalise has had a deep hatred for inhuman science practices, and any god-playing experiments as well. The day after her initial transformation, a new experiment was put into place to push the limits of science even further; the creation of the ultimate life-form, Codenamed: G.E.O. Annalise had to watch and reluctantly take part as the innocent and vulnerable person was probed, spliced and otherwise abused by the cold hand of science. It didn’t take long to turn against her creators, setting every experiment they had free, including G.E.O. himself.

Arrow was abandoned by his parents when he was only four. He was ridiculed by many for being homeless and had to live off of whatever food scraps he could find. At the age of seven, he was kidnapped by a scientist who used him as the specimen to try and create a super soldier. When Arrow drank a vial of mysterious liquid it caused him to black out. When he woke up he found the scientist dead. Arrow then took over the laboratory and uses it to make his own inventions and preform his own experiments. Arrow usually dies by being impaled or shocked, quite often at the hands of his own creations.

Aspirin is a barn owl with a constant headache (hence his name) and a disrupted sleep schedule. Being an owl, he wants to sleep during the day, but other characters and events are always waking him up (and usually killing him as well) when he should be asleep. Because of this, Aspirin is fairly cranky and annoyed, and easy to anger. Aspirin is sometimes vengeful when vexed, especially when his sleep is interrupted, although his attempts at revenge tend to backfire, or at least kill him as well as others. Aspirin's deaths often involve being minced into pieces.

Au~Tumn is a war veteran who has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, though unlike Flippy, her case isn’t as severe, and often works in complete contrast to his usual problems. She often enters a state of mind where she believes that she’s protecting somebody, or various other things along those lines. When she’s having an episode, she often sees Flippy as an enemy rather than a friend, even though she actually looks up to him like a big brother. She and Roro seem to get along very well in most instances; she doesn’t have any memory of being on the opposing side during the war except when her PTSD is triggered. When she isn’t having problems with her PTSD, she’s a very open-minded individual who treats all others with kindness.

Barky is loud, obnoxious, and never knows when to shut up. Despite these shortcomings, he is almost always friendly and will always stand by his friends. He often is in the company of Cuddles and Toothy, and whenever the trio are not playing baseball or such, they're getting into trouble. Barky is notably the smartest of the three, but he's more of a smart-alec than anything and he still gets killed in the end. His deaths often involve his head or mouth.

Black Beetle is a villain and an enemy of Splendid and Horrid. He resembles a large, black beetle, hence his name, although what species he is specifically is unknown. He has large pincers on his head like a rhinoceros beetle, but is capable of flight and can fire burning chemicals like a bombardier beetle. His strength matches that of Splendid or Horrid, and his carapace has demonstrated the ability to reflect most laser beams and withstand extreme pressure and heat. He is vile and cruel, and likes to harass the inhabitants of Happy Tree Town just because he can. He rarely dies.

Blandy is a calm, serious guy with a deadpan voice and a snazzy tuxedo. He's very Genre-Savvy and loves Lampshade hanging. For these reasons, he has a lot of the common sense the average Happy Tree Friend doesn't, and as such is good at telling when a situation is blatantly dangerous. He'll still tag along, however, as he always loves to be part of the plot. Despite this, his death count is quite low compared to the number of dangerous situations he's been in.

When he was sentenced down to the land of the Happy Tree Friends, she gave him a small locket with her picture in it, which said “Don’t forget me… I’ll always love you”. Despite the fact that he seldom shares his feelings with his newfound friends, he truly does still love her.

An aloof, despondent greaser, Bunyip tends to be deadpan and antisocial, and prefers to spend his time riding his motorcycle and doing stunts, be it for his own entertainment or for an audience. Bunyip smokes, but ironically, breathes fine thanks to the use of his gills, which also enable him to breathe underwater. Although girls tend to swoon over him, Bunyip never returns any of their affection, and whenever the center of attention, he often just shrugs it off with a mild "hmph." Bunyip is, however, very attached to Lulu and Whopper, and treats Lulu like a sister and Whopper like a beloved pet. While he never drowns thanks to his gills, Bunyip still dies in a variety of other ways, and they often involve being impaled or having items fly through his body and rip chunks of it out. Bunyip is a member of the Cupids, and is often found in the company of Lulu, Mr. Boots, J.D., or Whopper.

Whether he's trying to eat something poisonous or approaching a dangerous animal, it always leads to Butter's death when he tries to come to his rescue.

When Captain Rin Bilk was a young pup, her parents were pirates. They set sail to search for great treasures together. However, on that horrible day, a hoard of ninjas came on the ship and killed everybody; Rin was the only survivor, and she learned to hate ninjas. She wanted to get revenge on those who killed her parents, so she trained herself the best she could. One day, she found the ninjas, but when the first drop of blood hit her mouth, she couldn’t stop killing. She turned into a sick sadist and loved to fight; she never let anybody live whenever she went on one of her rampages. However, when her ship crashed one day, and all hope seemed loss, Buddhist Monkey came to her rescue. Stunned by what he could do, she became his student, and after many months, the evil in her heart had been vanquished. She’s still a pirate, and she still doesn’t trust ninjas, but she no longer kills people and she does her best to do her job without completely ruining people’s lives.

Casket is a funeral priestess that always seems to have a worried look on her face and a know-it-all attitude although she tries not to. Her job keeps her fairly busy due to the high death toll in her world so she often carries a bible with her. She has been seen visiting a certain cemetery each and every night digging up a certain bird corpse. She pets, hugs, and talks to the skull and calls it "Chains" for he had suffered his last death while being suspended by several heavy chains. Due to this mysterious activity, she has been branded a witch by the more paranoid civilians and has suffered many deaths from their "witch hunts." She also has a horrendous allergy to contemporary medicine and resorts to "natural cures" for her medicinal needs.

Chaos the lynx thinks he's the baddest Happy Tree Friend around. Usually he's either acting like he's the definition of cool, or he's showing off his twisted mean streak. He's been known to go to wild and extreme measures to attract attention, so it could be inferred that perhaps, deep down, he's really a little insecure about himself. Unfortunately for him, his self-assuredness and sadistic nature tend to backfire and blow up in his face (sometimes literally). Whenever he's around, it's a sure bet that a disaster is not far off, ready to humble him again. For that reason, it's widely agreed: Chaos does a good job of living up to his name.

Cheery is a genetically modified fox-cat who was separated from his ‘dead’ mother, and his brother Smokey, when he was less than a year old. He has been altered with another baby, Malo, with the same genes, making him a fox-cat. Due to the failures in the process, he has been left with many flaws that Malo does not have. He later found his brother when he was thirteen years old, and discovered that they were both royal princes in Russia, though they decided to give up their lifestyle in order to get away from the fame. Cheery is skilled in various sciences, and he has a passion for technology, though his skill in mathematics is less than stellar. As far as his social life goes, Cheery has a decent mix of friends and foes, and he’s dated several girls as well. He’s constantly being hunted by an individual named Classic, who worked at the lambda experiment where Cheery was modified.

Chompy is one of those happy-go-lucky types who don’t seem to have a bother in the world. He’s an extraordinary optimist and he can find the bright side in just about anything. He loves to tell jokes, and has been known to pull pranks, though he holds no malice towards people and just wants to get people laughing. When he was younger, he tried to cut down a tree with his teeth, like a beaver, which nearly ruined his teeth and forced him to get braces. Such didn’t get in his way of having fun, though.

Chubby is a shy, quiet puppy who defines wallflower. She hates being the center of attention and likes to keep out of whatever craziness is going on. Despite this, she is very kind and has been known to help and be nice to other characters, even if they had been picking on her earlier in the episode. She is in fact a frequent target of bullying, mostly from Quake, because of her weight, and her giant glasses, braces, freckles, asthma inhaler, and overall nerdiness. Chubby has a wide range of deaths, although a reoccurring scenario is she has lost her glasses and is unable to see and wanders into some sort of deathtrap, or her braces get caught or magnetized to something. She also sometimes suffocates because of asthma attacks.

Church Mouse is very pious and religious, almost to the point of psychosis in some cases. She can be somewhat stuck up and she thinks highly of herself, but she does mean well for the most part. She is considered one of the older, adult characters and is sometimes seen teaching or 'babysitting' younger characters. She can sometimes be stuck in her ways and stubborn, but has no specific flaw that leads to her death or the deaths of others, and is fairly normal aside from her occasional spaz-attacks. Her deaths often involve fire.

Like Disco Bear, he is always flirting with female characters, only instead of dancing and using lame 70's lingo, he shows off, brags, and uses lame current-era lingo. He is the one-sided friend of Aspirin, and often tries to get Aspirin to be 'cool' like him, or bounces his bad ideas off the agitated owl. He has a bad habit of hiccups, only whenever he hiccups, he spazzes for a brief second and crows. This often leads to disaster. Cocky's deaths often involve being cooked or eaten in some way, or his mouth.

Cromeo was a cold-hearted individual who wanted nothing more than bending the natural order until it snapped in his hands. He had a love for artificial creations and anything mechanical, hence his name being Cromeo. His species is unknown at this point, since there are rumors that he experimented on himself to further corrupt his own mind and nature, which is why he seems so soulless and cruel as he does. In essence, Cromeo is a diabolical scientist who holds no love for anything besides his creations and his own intellect.
