Happy Tree Friends

I have made my yearly pilgrimage to nerd-vana... and it is good!

Comic Con is such an awesome event that I just HAVE to share it with all of you guys! Besides, I know a lot of you have asked me questions or commented that you couldn't make the trek so, allow me to bring a little piece of the con back here for you guys. It might smell a little funny since it's been sitting in my suitcase all this time but I assure you it's just as tasty and delicious!

So, sit back, relax and let's all enjoy a tale told through pictures...

Here's where it all begins, the San Diego Convention Center! For 4 1/2 days days over 150,000 nerds people will descend upon this town to partake in THE biggest, most organized gathering of freaks and geeks ever assembled! My nose is gushing rivers of blood from the raw fury and might!

An ocean of humanity literally crashes on the doors of the convention center and fill every nook and cranny of the building. As evidenced in the pictures above, people from all shapes, sizes, color, race (both terrestrial, alien and "other") come to enjoy all that the con has to offer.

As I mentioned from my previous blog, our good friends the Ghostbots were there in full force!

They were there promoting their new property, Little Lost Ghost! Check out those kick-ass pins and prints!

Half way across the floor (quite a trek away, actually!) is fellow co-creator Rhode Montijo (right) and good friend James (Jamie) Baker's (left) booth!

I know they look crazy but they're really just from the future. Yes, the future is filled with tin foil and poorly constructed robots, apparently. Who would have guessed? Anyway, Rhode left the show years ago to pursue his life-long dreams of crime fighting in the grimy streets of Oakland (and New York) and occasionally working on his line of childrens books...

... as well as gardening.

I also met up with some really amazing people like Chris!

Chris, obviously a big HTF fan, hung out with us rocking his custom Petunia t-shirt, complete with air freshener accessory. Extra style points for that! We shared stories and delicious frozen yogurt all while watching the "Twlilight" line across from us ebb and flow. Those "Twihards" are crazy!

Another awesome person that stopped by to say "hi" was Wendi!

Wendi shared with me some great ideas she had for characters and did a live audition by screaming in the hall! Luckily, security didn't come and kick us out because Wendi's voice just cut right through the crowd's noise like it was made of rice paper! Truly, HTF material!

Finally, our buddies from across the galaxy hunted me down to say "hello."

Ok, these guys aren't really my buddies. In fact, they pretty much ignored my Facebook pleas of friendship... sigh... but they were awesome!

Speaking of which, one of my favorite things about Comic Con are the costumes!!! The good, the bad, the ugly, the funny, the sad, the cute, the weird, the creepy, the great and everything in between. I LOVE them all!

Did I mention I love the costumes? I did? Good 'cause there's more!

There was also a few exceptional costumes that looked EXACTLY like the people that they were dressed up as like George Lucas walking his At-At!

Classic Spock! Points off for not having the pointy ears and uniform.

Admiral Adama! He may have a hard time finding Earth but he didn't have any problems finding his favorite Subway sandwich.

And Castle Greyskull! Still looking good after all these years!

This is all just the tip... a tiny lick off the proverbial iceberg popsicle that is Comic Con!

Hopefully, I've inspired some of you guys out there to someday make the journey to one of the most amazing and wonderful places on Earth! Then when you're sick of that place, come on by to Comic Con where the fun never ends (until the last day, at least) and the nerd-juices flow like a never ending waterfall that all may partake from. Sniff... sniff... I'm getting all choked up just thinking about it...

See you there next year!!!

The Living HTF - Sorry, I must have missed your question in my previous reply so you get a whole comment all to yourself! See how roomy is place is when you don't have to share?

Anyway, there are no current plans to create and release a DVD or BluRay of any sort. I'd love to compile all the episodes in BlueRay format though! That would be HOT!

Lexi - The Twilight fans did seem to dominate most of the con this year...

Devil in Disguise - There was so much stuff happening and to see that I didn't stop much to talk to people. Just trying to take it all in was a full-time job!

Glitchy Furrystuff <3 - Yeah, he was a good guy... although, he still owes me for frozen yoogurt... HAHA! Just kidding!

Clumsy - I would have loved to but after trying to wait in line for 2 hours for Jame's Cameron's "Avatar" panel and NOT GETTING IN, it soured my desire to want to line up for anything else. Sigh... I'll just blame the Twilight fans for no good reason. TWIHARDS!!!

Buslady - Thank you! Glad you guys had a good time!

Veridiann - Yes, swimming through bodies and bodies of people can be tiring.

FlipyFan - I believe Rhode is doing quite well with his books! He has a few children's books already out and continues to work on even more!

Bryan - There are comic conventions all over the country. They might not be as big as Comic Con but they might be worth checking out. I believe Wizard Con is the biggest convention of this type that side of the US, if you're interested.

sp00k00ps - Yes, Wendi, I'll vouch for your screaming abilities!

Who is that strange earthling giving the peace sign? Oh...it's...ME! Yeah. As I stated, I've watching the show for about two to three years, so I got the whole screamin thing down. Besides, screaming is just fun isn't it? Gets rid of all the nasty stress bugs that build their nests inside of your very being!

I had fun talking with you too. All of those "Happy Tree Friends" haters out there have you all wrong. You're a really nice sweet man Kenn, no doubt about that.

I hope you get to talk with the producer about my talent for screaming, as well as the character idea. Get this, not only is the character a masochist, it's also a hypocondriac, and an insomiac, and also allergic to...everything, including itself (which is based off of a true story about me). I was allergic to myself at one point.

Just picture anything and everything wrong with anyone and everyone, and apply them to this character. There ya go!

I even have a concept of how this thing came into being, and it has something to do with Sniffles, a stuffed toy of his, and a lab.

I may upload a pic of the character too. Be sure to let the producer know of my bloodcurdling screams!
