@Living HTF
I guess you're right.I just always liked Flaky because she seemed the most reasonable and caring of the characters, and it just seems a bit off for me.
The episode was still fun to watch, and the fakeouts were fun,I just personally didn't care for the "What the hell, hero" moment.

LOL I can still see why you'd get put off by that scene. Flaky isn't one to stab someone in the eye, but in such a situation I'd personally say it makes sense.

Agreed

Panic can betray or help people sometimes, on this one, well, didn't help pretty much, lol.
If a murderer (Or, what you think IS a murderer) Is about to kill you, you'll try to survive, no matter in what way

This episode was surprisingly ironic in many ways. On how the intention of how we would think Flippy was gonna kill Flaky made that seem EXTREMELY obvious. So the creators just changed that in order to surprised us. And surprised us they did. All and all this episode was great to look at. :) I kinda jumped when the lighting struck. lol. Kept me at the edge of my seat.

But I still just don't get WHY Flaky stabbed him. "Oh god! He's running after me with a sharp blade! Oh wait,he's just cutting me free from this twisted mess of a wreck.Oh well,I already picked up the shard of glass, might as well use it anyway."

I strongly believe that Flaky's irrational fear of homicidal hitchhikers prevented her from noticing that Flippy was only trying to free her from her safety belt, just like it delayed her from noticing Flippy fixing her tires (and that's not a quick process so she had to be screaming for a while), and from noticing Flippy trying to warn her of the telephone pole. And even if she did notice, Flippy could've only just been getting through the belt first to get to her, or perhaps sharpening his blade on the belt, or maybe planning to use the belt as a weapon maybe to choke her (such an unorthodox method would fit well with her other fantasies). Knowing Flaky, all of those thoughts could easily have been going through her mind and the only things she could've done were escape (which she couldn't because she was trapped and panic can make one forget the simple things such as undoing a safety belt) or fight back, which she did. Even afterwards, she didn't seem remorseful for hurting Flippy so she most likely still perceived him as a killer. Personally, I think she was well within character.

But anyway, man that was an awesome episode. They totally took it in a direction I did not expect. I can see why they chose Flaky and Flippy. And that MadWorld-esque color scheme.... well I don't know. Perhaps it would've been better in color. Black and White works well though. I also happened to notice a few minor animation mistakes.

That makes me curious. Hypothetically, if you had a car and a license and were of age and all that jazz, and were alone, driving down the street in the middle of the night....no, let's make it daytime. Would you stop to pick up.....oh say for example....

This guy?

Fun Facts:
David Winn (Lumpy's voice actor) was credited as an animator. I never knew he was an animator...

Also, this episode was animated at Ghostbot (as you can see in the credits). Ghostbot animated the Ka-Pow! episodes and a few others. I'd recognize that Ka-Pow! Blood anywhere.

I posted a short bloggie. Wanna see it? :3
Go here, then. Just don't pick up any hitchhikers on your way there.

that was awesome!
it was all Flakys paranoia, rarely can an HTF episode have spoilers but Mondo have surpassed themself.

ooh, what if it was all Lumpys imagination?

I think Flaky is too scared, she thought he would kill her.in fact,it doesnt remind him of war,
if he did,he would kill her. I'm sure Flippy actually help her, like he's cutting the seatbelt so Flaky could get out from the car sadly she doesnt realized and she stabbed his eye with shard of glass.

Btw,Poor Flippy....If I were Flaky,I'll make sure that he doesnt flipped out,if he did,I just
punch his stomach till he fainted then I get out from the car and run as fast as I can or slap him until he unflipped.

Awesome!
This episode was a little bit different from the others, but it's nice to see HTFs in black and white. Also this time Flippy was trying to help someone, and Flaky had visions! And at the end arrived Lumpy on a truck, like in Hero to Eternty! I also like HTF's car, remids me my favourite one.
