I haven't most of those series(and the ones I have were years ago), but I'll take your word for it. I was expecting Super Mario Bros. as #1, but I now get the feeling that you aren't a Nintendo type of guy.

I love Nintendo, and I love Super Mario Bros the game (and all the games in the series for the most part), but the movie was HORRIBLE! If I did a worst video game movies list, that would for sure be in the top 5. I was trying to find good movies in a group of horrible movies.

I've heard of most those franchises, most the time game franchises turn out to be awful movies and/or cartoons, just like how movies like Pixar and Dreamworks and others turn their movies into games, it doesn't work either way, they are often for money.
Japan's lucky, you would probably be interested in this if you're hardcore at Mario, but there was a very old Japanese Mario Anime movie that was never translated, you can find them on Youtube and someone is working on subtitles, so much better I hear than the Super Mario Bros Movie in Live Action, but still, it had flaws. Those who date to the time Mario was new you'd know that Luigi was yellow and blue rather than green and blue. And that's exactly what Luigi looks like, it's that old.
Funny thing though, fan movies are sometimes BETTER than official ones.

Well, I have heard the Final Fantasy movie was pretty good. Of course, I never saw the whole thing, but do correct me if I'm wrong.

Well....a video game movie?I would say my favorite was Resident Evil.I'm sure it was a game before they filmed a movie about it.

Well, not all of 'em, have you seen Resident Evil? The movie was totally amazing and scary as the game (I personally love when those bad looking Doberman dogs entered in the scene) So, i guess that would be an exeption, also, Silent Hill and Hitman are REALLY awesome movies.
Of course, there are totally horrible movies like Street Fighter, just bad as going to the toilet and notice you lack of paper X.X

Not bad, although I'd love to see the sonic the hedgehog movie in there. Why, because it has a genuine story, great voice acting, and is all around great? No, actually it's because of this! XD
(Note: if you complain about the content, don't cry to me, as the movie's VHS clearly states "ages 7 & up", and I'm the one who saw it as a very young child... *shudder*)

I have heard of this Mario movie. It came out in the mid 80's right? I'm sure it's great. I was really only looking at main stream Hollywood movies...and live action. I figure a cartoon can come closer to an actual video game so that's sort of an unfair advantage.
I should have probably been more clear in how I broke it down.
